Your skills

  • Bachelor of engineering and member in good standing of the OIQ;
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience;
  • Customer-based approach and desire to provide good service;
  • Leadership, thoroughness, organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Keen interest and skills in working in a team environment and interpersonal communication;
  • Good technical knowledge in electrical, civil, and mechanical engineering;
  • Fluency in English and French (written and spoken);
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, primarily Excel;
  • The position is based in Kingsey Falls or Montreal and may require occasional travel to the United States or Canada.

Your challenge

Reporting to the Engineering Director and in close collaboration with the entire Development department, you will be a key player throughout the development of Boralex projects in North America.

Your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Manage, mobilize and develop a team of engineers working in matrix mode on different projects;
  • Support and advise engineers in the face of technical challenges;
  • Take charge of certain complex files if necessary;
  • Follow up on files with project engineers;
  • Monitor the progress of mandates and adherence to schedules, and take corrective actions as needed;
  • Support the teams in preparing technical specifications related to tenders;
  • Participate in the evaluation and selection of engineering firms that will support the team;
  • Take part in due diligence reviews during acquisitions, and draft opinions on certain technical elements;
  • In collaboration with the Project Control team, implement cost and schedule estimation tools according to the specifics of each project;
  • Prepare reports on the status of projects and the overall progress of engineering files;
  • Stay abreast of regulatory environment in the markets where Boralex develops projects;
  • Ensure short-, medium- and long-term resource planning and hiring to ensure continuous service for
